Technical questions:
Q: Why does DRMPOD uses DRM (Digital Rights Management)?
A: The companies for whom we distribute videos trust us to protect their assets in a professional and responsible way. DRM is a technology that allows us to distribute these companies’ assets securely through the internet. It is DRM technology, which allows us to offer the videos on a download-to-own basis. This enables you to pay for a scene and watch it on your PC now or a year from now. DRM is definitely the best way to ensure that companies' video assets are protected. It is also a great way for consumers to ensure that their contributions allow these producers to produce more content.

To download the scenes, click on the Download tab present on every scene or scene detail.

You will get a file download window like this:

Select SAVE to permanantly store the scene on your Hard Drive. Depending on your internet connection, the movies will take different lengths of time to download.
If you do not want to wait for the whole movie to download, you can select the Play Now option.

After buffering, the movie will start playing.
With this option the scenes ARE NOT saved on your HD.

Q: I selected the "play now" option and the video freezes when I watch.
A: If your internet connection (DSL or cable) is lower than 500 kbps, your best bet is to download the scene to your HD instead of choosing the "play now" option. To find your Internet connection speed, please run a simple speed test here: http://www.dslreports.com/stest
Also make sure you do the following to modify your buffering settings on the Windows Media Player. Go to:
1- Tools ...
2- Options ...
3- Tab performance
4- Network buffering click: buffer.
5- Set it to 10 seconds.
It will be a little longer before the video starts, but once it starts; it should keep going without freezing (increase higher than 10 if it continues to freeze, or chose the downloading option instead)
Q: I selected the Play Now option, can I also download the scene without using more tokens?
A: Yes. Once you use tokens to view any scene you can also download the file to your computer and you will not have to use additional tokens to view it.
The same applies if you download the movie first and then you want to view it with the Play Now option. You only have to use your tokens once.
Q: I have a MAC, how do I download movies?
A: SORRY! Macs cannot play our content, unless you have a new MAC with the new Intel processor that can run both MAC and XP Operating Systems. You can read more here: http://www.apple.com/macosx/bootcamp/
